Time is referenced to eternity with God.

(This is a different time scale than the generations of man.)
The next 7,000 years are the generations of Adam (man).
Gen 5:1-2 and II Peter 3:8-9.
There are to be seven 1000 years. A day to God is a 1000 years with the
perspective of the generations of Adam.
The beginning of each day begins with a significant purpose to God's plan of the
creation of His eternal Kingdom.

Days One, Two, Three, and Four are showing the creation/birth of men that are in the line to Christ
Day One:
Creation of Adam with the Spirit at approx. 4004BC. Creation of God's Seed Line for man.
Day Two:
Birth of Noah at approx. 2948BC.
The saving of the Seed Line from corruption.
Day Three:
Birth of Abraham at approx. 1996BC. The promise land revealed and the foretelling of the father of many nations.
Day Four:
Birth of David at approx. 990BC. The starting of Christ's Regal and Priestly Lines through David.
Day Five:
Birth of Jesus at approx. 4BC. The Messiah (tree of life) comes.
Day Six:
The building of Christ's Kingdom. The harvest time (or gathering) of his Kingdom is at the end of day six.
Day Seven:
Truth is revealed and God's Kingdom begins it's rule over the nations.
